I have been considering buying a stand alone metronome for quite a long time but could never actually bring myself to shell out the dough. I could have bought a cheap one, but really wanted something good. A while back I bought a ITouch and have been using it to play my music while I play. Well one think lead to another and I found myself searching the App store for metronome app's. I tried a couple but have fallen in love with Tempo by Frozen Ape. Not only can you play your MP3 with the App running, you can tap the screen to the beat and it will read the BPM's. It also stores them for later callup. Not to mention it is very accurate. In fact it is much more accurate than the built in metronome on my DTX Express III. The best part, it was only $1. Check it out
